Ashraf M. Dahod – President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Ashraf M. Dahod is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Altiostar. Before Altiostar, Mr. Dahod was the SVP & GM of Mobile Internet Technology Group at Cisco Systems which was created after Cisco acquired Starent Network in 2009. Mr. Dahod co-founded Starent Networks in 2000 and was its President & Chief Executive Officer. Starent went public on the NASDAQ in 2007. Prior to Starent, Mr. Dahod co-founded NetCore Systems, Inc. in 1996 and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer. He has an exceptionally strong record of building successful technology companies, capitalizing on his ability to recognize market opportunities and combining it with a keen understanding of technology. He co-founded Sigma Network Systems, Inc. in 1988 and founded Nu-Link, Inc. in 1991, Applitek Corporation (renamed to LANCity) in 1981. Mr. Dahod holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, Master of Engineering Management from Northeastern University, Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Bombay.

Kuntal Chowdhury – VP Marketing

Mr. Kuntal Chowdhury is the Vice President of Marketing at Altiostar. He has over 20 years of experience in the wireless industry. Before Altiostar, Mr. Chowdhury held Director of Strategy in Mobile Internet Technology Group and Director of Marketing positions at Cisco Systems. Prior to his stint at Cisco, Mr. Chowdhury held VP of Technology and Standards position at Starent Networks. In this role, he lead Starent’s engagement in various standards bodies such as 3GPP, IETF, 3GPP2 and telecom industry organizations such as WiMAX Forum, ATIS and NGMN. Mr. Chowdhury came to Starent from Nortel Networks where he was an Advisor in the product management group. In Nortel, Mr. Chowdhury lead the company’s engagement in 3GPP2 and TIA where he chaired and vice-chaired CDMA packet data groups. He authored and co-authored numerous IETF RFCs, 3GPP, WiMAX and 3GPP2 contributions that are part of LTE, WiMAX and CDMA standards. Mr. Chowdhury held systems engineering position at Nortel where he rolled out a number of large CDMA and GSM networks in US and Canada. Prior to Nortel, Mr. Chowdhury was a systems engineer at Motorola in the advanced messaging infrastructure group. Mr. Chowdhury holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology in Surat, India. He holds 48 US and international patents.

John P. Delea  – Chief Financial Officer

Mr. John P. Delea is the Chief Financial Officer at Altiostar. Mr. Delea leverages two decades of senior financial management and high technology experience as he and his team oversee all financial, legal and administrative aspects of Altiostar. Before joining Altiostar, Mr. Delea was a Director of Business Development at Cisco Systems. Prior to Cisco, Mr. Delea held senior financial executive roles at Starent Networks until 2009. Mr. Delea came to Starent Networks from Quantum Bridge Communications, where he served as Chief Financial Officer from 2000 to 2002. Prior to Quantum Bridge, he served as Chief Financial Officer for NetGenesis from 1996 to 2000, where he directed the company from start-up through a successful IPO. Mr. Delea also held senior management positions in treasury, investor relations, corporate and international finance at Bay Networks, AT&T and Arthur Andersen & Co. Mr. Delea holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross. Mr. Delea is a Certified Public Accountant.

Pierre Kahhale – VP Field Operations

Mr. Pierre Kahhale is the Vice President Field Operations at Altiostar. In this role, Mr. Kahhale is responsible for Altiostar’s go to market strategy and execution. With over 30 years of Telecom experience, Mr. Kahhale brings a deep working knowledge of the wireless industry and the service providers segments and a successful track record in building customer relationships and businesses globally. Prior to Altiostar, Mr. Kahhale was the Vice President mobility sales at Cisco Systems and the Vice President Field Operations at Starent Networks. Before joining Starent Networks, Mr. Kahhale spent over 22 years with Nortel Networks leading several executive positions in the service provider business working and living in North America, Asia and Europe. Mr. Kahhale holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Design from Concordia University.

Anil Sawkar  – VP Engineering & Operations

Mr. Anil Sawkar is the Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Altiostar. Mr. Sawkar has over 20 years of experience, developing and deploying wireless and data communications systems globally, managing large engineering teams in the US, UK and India. His work experience includes Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies and Alcatel-Lucent Inc. Mr. Sawkar was the Vice President at Alcatel-Lucent responsible for LTE system requirements, architecture and performance. He successfully managed multi-phased technology trials with operators in North America, Europe and Asia and the commercial launch of LTE Networks with North America’s operators. Prior to that, he successfully developed and deployed 3G-EVDO, 2.5G and 2G-3G/1X wireless networks systems across North America, Europe and Asia. Mr. Sawkar is a Bell Labs Fellow and holds multiple patents in Wireless Networking. Mr. Sawkar holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Communications from University of Mysore, India.
