After a Year of Joint Open RAN Advancements, Altiostar Named to 2020 Intel Network Builders Winners’ Circle

Altiostar and Intel are committed to the success of Open vRAN and its ability to transform mobile networks. One way in which an Open vRAN drives down capital and operational costs is through using commercial off the shelf (COTS) hardware from technology providers such as Intel. To that end, the two companies have worked toward furthering Open vRAN throughout 2020:

• Leveraged Intel FPGA/eASIC technology to accelerate forward error correction (FEC).
• Recognized by the industry for innovative 5G innovation with Rakuten Mobile.
• Discussed rural operators can deploy 5G networks to better serve their customers.

And now Intel has named Altiostar to the Leaders Board as part of its 2020 Intel Network Builders Winner’s Circle, an award it gives to its top ecosystem partners. Intel Network Builders is an ecosystem of a little more than 375 companies that are working with Intel to advance the vision of a network that is “transforming and innovative.”

Altiostar was among 10% of ecosystem partners that were named to the Leaders Board based on their innovation and collaboration. We were also honored in this category in 2019.

We are honored to be recognized for technical innovation by Intel and continue to work closely with them on operator engagements to drive Open vRAN forward in the industry. Altiostar is a true believer in this model and we thank Intel for the opportunity to be a contributor to the Intel Network Builders ecosystem.
