Ashraf M. Dahod

President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Ashraf M. Dahod is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Altiostar. Before Altiostar, Mr. Dahod was the SVP & GM of Mobile Internet Technology Group at Cisco Systems which was created after Cisco acquired Starent Network in 2009. Mr. Dahod co-founded Starent Networks in 2000 and was its President & Chief Executive Officer. Starent went public on the NASDAQ in 2007. Prior to Starent, Mr. Dahod co-founded NetCore Systems, Inc. in 1996 and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer. He has an exceptionally strong record of building successful technology companies, capitalizing on his ability to recognize market opportunities and combining it with a keen understanding of technology. He co-founded Sigma Network Systems, Inc. in 1988 and founded Nu-Link, Inc. in 1991, as well as Applitek Corporation (renamed to LANCity) in 1981. Mr. Dahod holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, Master of Engineering Management from Northeastern University, Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Bombay.

Kwabena D. Akufo

Dr. Kwabena D. Akufo is Apostle and Senior Pastor of the Bethsaida Christian Center of The Apostolic Church International in Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. Akufo worked in the computer industry for over 20 years before switching careers to become a minister. He obtained a Masters in Religion and a Doctorate in Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and has served in several executive roles in the USA branch of his denomination. In the computer industry he worked as an engineer, manager, and executive on various inter-networking products, where he had a reputation for creating robust engineering organizations from scratch to develop innovative products. His last role in the computer industry was VP and General Manager of the Inter-networking Systems Division of Tellabs. Prior to that he was cofounder and VP of Engineering for NetCore Systems. He was also a cofounder and VP of Engineering and Operations for Sigma Network Systems. Prior to that he was head of Software Development for Applitek Corporation. He also worked as head of Software Development for one of the first graphic-based Electronic Mail software for Honeywell Information Systems during the days leading up to the definition of SMTP. He was an adjunct Senior Lecturer of Computer Science at Boston University and adjunct Lecturer of Computer Science at University of Massachusetts at Lowell. Dr. Akufo holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Brandeis University where he attended as a Wien scholar.

Vivek Agarwal

Vivek Agarwal is the Global Head for Enterprise Verticals Solutions and Portfolio Companies. He is responsible for creating a robust and differentiated portfolio of offerings for our clients in each vertical, and organic and in-organic investments for building capability. He also oversees our Portfolio Investments, including effective integration and realisation of synergies and business objectives.

Vivek has been with Tech Mahindra since 2004, and took a 2 year sabbatical in between to create an early stage technology venture. He has been an integral part of Tech Mahindra’s journey over the last 12 years, leading and structuring some of the largest multi-year outsourcing deals and some of our marquee acquisitions. Previously, he was the Managing Director of Tech Mahindra’s European Telecom business. He has rich multi-functional experience and brings sharp commercial acumen.

Vivek pursued Bachelor of Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology from Ranchi and Post-Graduation from IIM, Kolkata

Stein Lundby

Board Member

Stein leads Qualcomm’s Corporate Technology Strategy function to identify disruptive technology shifts,develop strategy & business cases, and work with executives and GMs to drive implementation.

During his career Stein has held variety of functional roles along the spectrum of technology-fueled
business growth and launched a number of new corporate strategic initiatives: in engineering, advanced
research, technology standardization, geo-political technical-business negotiations, litigation strategy,the strategic management of intellectual property, patent licensing licensing strategy, new $B/year business creation, and corporate-level strategy and M&A.

Stein has worked at Qualcomm since 1997, holds over 100 patented inventions in mobile and wireless
technologies, and is one of Qualcomm’s leading technologists and inventors.

Stein is also an Adjunct Professors in Wireless Health at Case Western Reserve University.

He holds a Masters Degree in Communication Systems from EPFL, a Masters Degree in Electrical
Engineering from Duke University, a Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences from EPFL, a graduate
degree in Wireless Technology from Eurécom, and several Executive Education certificates in strategy
from Harvard Business School.

Paul J. Milbury

Board Member

Mr. Paul Milbury brings over 30 years of experience as a technology industry executive to Altiostar and its board. In his career, Paul has worked with both start-ups and multi-billion dollar global enterprises. Paul left Cisco Systems in 2010 after playing an integral part in the integration of Starent Networks, a provider of mobile networking solutions, into Cisco. In his role as vice-president of operations and CFO at Starent, Paul guided the company from its IPO process in 2007 to its acquisition by Cisco Systems in 2009 for $2.9 billion. Prior to Cisco, Paul served as CFO of Avid Technology, a digital media creation, management and distribution company. He has also served in financial executive roles at Digital Equipment Corporation, Juniornet and iBelong. Mr. Milbury currently serves on the boards of two public companies, Infinera Corporation, an optical networking equipment provider and Gigamon Inc., a provider of an intelligent visibility architecture for enterprises and service providers. Mr. Milbury also serves on the boards of two other private companies. Mr. Milbury holds a Master degree and a Bachelor degree of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Mr. Milbury is based in Boston, MA United States.

Tareq Amin

Mr. Tareq Amin, CTO of Rakuten Mobile is responsible for driving end to end Network evolution, service assurance and automation of the Rakuten cloud-native 4G/5G network. Prior to joining Rakuten Mobile, Tareq served as Senior Vice President of Technology Development and Automation for Reliance Jio. Before 2013, Tareq served as Vice President of Carrier Solutions for Huawei, where he led the company’s strategy for all major technologies and solution innovations. Tareq serves as a Board member of the Small Cell Forum, which strives for wide-scale adoption of small cells and the acceleration in the delivery of integrated HetNets.

Yoshihisa Yamada

Mr. Yoshihisa Yamada holds the position of Executive Vice President for Rakuten Inc. and President & Representative of Rakuten Mobile Inc. In the past Yoshihisa occupied the position of President and Representative Director at Rakuten Edy, Inc. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
